Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, popularly known as Demon Slayer is a famous manga series in Japanese that is written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge.
The baseline of the whole series is based on Tanjiro Kamado, a teenager who transforms into a demon slayer after his family was slaughtered and his sister turns into a demon. Demon Slayer is crazy action anime series with demons and supernatural powers, so it’s no surprise that fans worldwide are asking if Demon Slayer will have a season 3. The series was serialized in Shueisha’s shonen manga magazine from 2016 to 2020. Since it’s a Japanese original the series was published in English by Viz Media and by Shueisha on their Manga Plus platform.
Is demon slayer season 3 official?
While there are rumors running around about the upcoming season of Demon Slayer, there is no official post or comment regarding these rumors. Not only official announcements but hints have also not been dropped by the team or any of the platforms on which Demon Slayer is premiered. Since there is no confirmation regarding the season itself, there is no such official release date for the season, although one can expect the upcoming season in 2022.
Previous seasons of Demon Slayer:
There have only been 2 seasons of Demon Slayer as of now, and a movie based on the series called Kimetsu no Yaiba Movie: Mugen Ressha- hen in the year 2020. The movie was a continuation of the first season of the series and with the highest box-office ever to happen in Japan, which shows the popularity and the craze for the series.
The season of Demon Slayer was released in April 2019 with 26 episodes. And the second season was released in the year 2021.

The second season picked up right where it ended in the first season with the Mugen train leaving off. Tanjiro Kamado travels with a senior demon slayer to Yoshiwara, to track down a demon that has been terrorizing the area, it further gets complicated in Hashira, with the oldest son Rengoku dying in the season, which took an emotional toll on the fans around the world. So, hopefully, the next season won’t break our heart as the second one did.
