A new synopsis for Marvel Moon Knight reveals further details about the highly anticipated Disney+ series’ direction.
A new synopsis for Marvel’s upcoming Moon Knight series gives more details about the Disney+ series, as well as suggestions that the character will alter as he transitions from page to screen.
Moon Knight Plot:
An Earlier Synopsis Teased a War Between Gods
The most recent synopsis emphasises the mystery, but a previous logline defined the series as being about a war. The old synopsis says, “A new globetrotting action-adventure series featuring a multifaceted vigilante who suffers from dissociative identity disorder.” “Against the backdrop of modern and ancient Egypt, the numerous identities that reside within him are thrown into a deadly gods’ conflict.”
Aside from the focus being shifted away from Marc, Steven has undergone significant modifications, with the character now being a gift shop employee rather than a millionaire businessman. Steven is from jolly old England, as evidenced by the trailer, with Oscar Isaac showcasing an accent that has been compared to Dick Van Dyke’s Mary Poppins performance and Don Cheadle’s performance in Ocean’s Eleven. With Steven Grant and Marc Spector already set to appear in the Moon Knight Marvel series, and the character’s dissociative identity disorder being a major plot point, other personalities are expected to emerge as Steven tries to make sense of his life.
Marvel Moon Knight is directed by Mohamed Diab, Justin Benson, and Aaron Moorhead, and written by Jeremy Slater. Oscar Isaac plays Steven Grant/Marc Spector AKA Moon Knight, alongside Ethan Hawke as Arthur Harrow, Gaspard Ulliel as Anton Mogart / Midnight Man, and May Calamawy in an unspecified role. Moon Knight will now premiere on Disney+ on March 30th.
