Demon Slayer Characters From Season 2: Genya, Giyu, Hashira & More

Demon Slayer is back for a second season, and the new episodes promise to spice up the action and suspense from the first season. This chapter will mostly focus on Tanjiro and his buddies learning from Hashira. It’s unclear whether any more Demon Slayer characters will appear in season 2.

The trailers for Demon Slayer: Mugen Train and the Entertainment District Arc give fans a sense of who to expect in future parts. If the anime goes beyond those arcs, here are some characters we’d like to see more of in Demon Slayer Season 2.

[Spoiler warning: This article contains spoilers for Demon Slayer Season 1.]

Demon Slayer Season 2 Characters will feature more Hashira — but what about Giyu?

Season 2 of Demon Slayer will delve more into the Flame and Sound Hashira, with each of them monitoring Tanjiro and his comrades at different times throughout the season. It’ll be fascinating to discover more about these personalities, particularly considering their power. However, there’s another Hashira who we’d want to see return soon.

Demon Slayer needs to offer Giyu more screen time, even though it’s unlikely given the current focus on the others. Tanjiro’s first encounter with a member of the Demon Slayer Corps is with Giyu, a powerful fighter who plainly has more empathy for those who have been transformed into demons than his compatriots. Getting more background on his character would help to explain his actions in the first season and provide a satisfying method for the Demon Slayer fandom to tie everything together.

Tanjiro should cross paths with Kanao again

The anime Demon Slayer isn’t very romantic, but that doesn’t rule out the possibility of love connections between the characters over the course of the series. Season 1 hinted at that possibility between Tanjiro and Kanao, and we’re hoping to see them together again soon.

The conclusion of Demon Slayer Season 1 demonstrated how much these two can learn from one other. It’d be great to see Demon Slayer Season 2 go more into this.

The anime Demon Slayer isn’t very romantic, but it doesn’t rule out the possibility of love connections developing between the characters throughout the course of the series. Season 1 teased the possibility between Tanjiro and Kanao, and we’re already looking forward to seeing them together again.

The conclusion of Demon Slayer Season 1 demonstrated how much these two can learn from one another. It’d be great if Demon Slayer Season 2 went into more detail about this.

Genya remains a mystery in the ‘Demon Slayer’ anime

Only a small percentage of those who try out for the Demon Slayer Corps make it. When the bulk of the people in Tanjiro’s cohort die during the exam, he realises this. He’s already formed acquaintances with two of the survivors from his class, Inosuke and Zenitsu. However, in the anime, one of them, Genya, remains a mystery.

Season 1 of Demon Slayer gave viewers a few glances of Genya, but there haven’t been many opportunities for fans to get to know him. From what we’ve seen thus far, he appears to be a vengeful individual. Could Season 2 of Demon Slayer help us figure out why?

There’s a reason the anime went out of its way to portray Genya surviving alongside Tanjiro and his comrades. His part in Tanjiro’s storey will need to be fleshed out in future episodes.

Kagaya Ubuyashiki is a fascinating character

At the end of Demon Slayer Season 1, Tanjiro and Nezuko meet Kagaya Ubuyashiki. Many of the Hashira who follow the Demon Slayer Corps express more empathy for the couple than the leader of the Demon Slayer Corps. It’d be fascinating to learn how he came to play such an important position in the group, as well as to see him pass more of his knowledge to the major characters.

If Demon Slayer Season 2 continues to focus on Tanjiro’s peers, supporters might expect to see their leader once more. I’m crossing my fingers that he shows up again.

‘Demon Slayer’ Season 2 needs to dig deeper into the anime’s Big Bad

Tanjiro and his allies will face powerful demons in the upcoming Demon Slayer arcs, but probably not the anime’s Big Bad. Muzan Kibutsuji continues to pull threads from the shadows, enacting his agenda through his more powerful disciples. In Tanjiro’s storey, though, he remains a menacing presence. Before the anime ends, the two will almost certainly have a final fight.

Season 2 is unlikely to have the scene. That doesn’t rule out the possibility of the anime showing us more about the characters beforehand. In fact, doing so would assist the series get closer to its climax.

Of course, there’s still a lot to cover before fans get at the final destination. On Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Hulu, you can watch new Demon Slayer Season 2 episodes.
