The Institute Trailer & Analysis

This horror drama set in Baltimore in 1893 follows a young woman named Isabel (Allie Gallerani) who checks into the mysterious Rosewood Institute and ends up being subjected to a number of bizarre physical abuses at the hands of a certain Dr. Cairn (played by Jess Franco, who co-directs with Pamela Romanowsky). This one has a US/Canada release date of 3rd March 2017 and looks somewhat intriguing and visually stylish.

It's hard to tell at this stage however whether it will end up being a thought-provoking chiller or nothing more than classily-mounted torture porn. The fact that the cast features Pamela Anderson tends to alert the cynical part of the mind, but only time will tell.
