Battle of the Sexes Trailer & Analysis

Battle of the Sexes is a comedy-drama based on the real-life 1973 tennis match between Billie Jean King (played by Emma Stone) and Bobby Riggs (played by Steve Carell). While tennis might not be the most cinematically-enticing of sports, this one looks like it could well be fine entertainment. It's directed by the duo behind 2006's acclaimed Little Miss Sunshine (Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris). Factor in this plus the critical plaudits that Emma Stone and Steve Carell have been getting in recent years, and its autumn release (22nd September in the USA, 24th November in the UK) is certainly anticipation-worthy. Except for the various anti-woman trolls who keep leaving derogatory comments below this trailer on YouTube of course :)
