Baby Driver Trailer & Analysis

It's the latest from Edgar Wright (director of the Simon Pegg and Nick Frost "Cornetto Trilogy", as well as Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World). It features Ansel Elgort as Baby, a getaway driver who is coerced into one last job by crime boss Kevin Spacey. Jamie Foxx also stars.

Okay, so the plot's not the most original around, but judging from the trailer plus Edgar Wright's previous track record it looks like it will be superinjected with a finely-honed sense of parody. Watch through to the end for a hilarious joke about Michael Myers masks. The action looks stylish and exciting to boot - and mercifully free of Fast & Furious-style CGI embellishments. Reviews from its premiere during the SXSW 2017 Film Festival seem pretty positive.

Baby Driver is on general release in August of this year.
