Ghost In The Shell Steve Aoki Remix Trailer & Analysis

The latest news is that Steve Aoki has been drafted in to do a remix of the original 1995 anime theme. Clearly the producers were so excited about this fact that they wanted to share it with us courtesy of a new trailer with the theme playing on top of it.

Not everyone is happy however; factmag.com describe it as a desecration in their review here: http://www.factmag.com/2017/03/06/steve-aoki-ghost-in-the-shell-theme-remix/.

Nonetheless IMHO it goes pretty well with the plentiful bursts of action seen throughout the trailer. From the brief snippets that fly by in this trailer and previous ones it looks like it's shaping up to be one of the most visually awesome interpretations of the cyberpunk aesthetic yet seen in a live action film. Let us hope and pray that it does justice to the original anime and doesn't water things down for a PG-13 rating. Still, we shall find out whether this is true or not when it is released at the end of this month.

Scarlett Johansson, Michael Pitt, Takeshi Kitano and Juliette Binoche star, while the directorial duties are being handled by Rupert Sanders.
