The Last Movie (1971) dir: Dennis Hopper Blu Ray (Indicator)

Hopper's second film as director was - and, to be honest, still is - a rambling and self-indulgent mess. However, this disc is a must due to the sheer wealth of extras here, not least being an excellent Alex Cox documentary on its production.

Irma Vep (1996) starring Maggie Cheung Blu Ray (Arrow Academy)

Olivier Assayas' underrated gem is an incredibly hard film to pigeonhole - at once a behind-the-scenes mockumentary jab at the arty pretensions of modern French cinema and an ode to the incomparable beauty of actress Maggie Cheung.

Henri-Georges Clouzot's Inferno (2009) Blu Ray (Arrow Academy)

Serge Bromberg's reconstruction and postmortem of Henri-Georges Clouzot's aborted would-be masterpiece presents us with some visually-striking footage but not enough depth. However, the extras help to fill in the blanks.
