EIFF 2018: Flammable Children aka Swinging Safari (2018)

Guy Pearce, Kylie Minogue, Radha Mitchell and Julian McMahon are cast against type in an off-colour retro comedy set in an Australian seaside town in the 1970s which was inspired by writer-director Stephan Elliott's own childhood. Lots of fun - provided that you are not easily offended.

Brigsby Bear (2017) starring Kyle Mooney and Mark Hamill

It's the other film coming out in the UK this December to feature Mark Hamill. Imagine Lenny Abrahamson mixed with an affectionate nod at the cult around fluffy 1980s childhood nostalgia and you have the recipe for this enjoyable comedy starring Kyle Mooney.
