Frank Sidebottom The Home of the Retrospective

EIFF 2019: I See You (2019) starring Helen Hunt and Jon Tenney

This non-linear horror thriller is well worth a watch if you like your films to be ingeniously constructed and truly surprising. Judah Lewis and Owen Teague stand out from the cast as two adolescent guys who become delinquent for entirely different reasons.

EIFF 2019: Unstoppable (2018) writer and director: Kim Min-Ho

The hulking Dong-seok Ma is by far the best thing about this fairly standard South Korean thriller. It's serviceable enough stuff but overlong and lacking in new ideas. Also starring Ji-Hyo Song, Seong-oh Kim, Min-jae Kim and Ji-hwan Park.

Brigsby Bear (2017) starring Kyle Mooney and Mark Hamill

It's the other film coming out in the UK this December to feature Mark Hamill. Imagine Lenny Abrahamson mixed with an affectionate nod at the cult around fluffy 1980s childhood nostalgia and you have the recipe for this enjoyable comedy starring Kyle Mooney.
